If elected, Allen Whitt will fulfill his duty to advise and consent to President Trump’s judicial nominees to the federal court. He will not allow activist, non-originalist judges to go unvetted and will be committed to making the President’s choices even better. Sen. Capito has let some anti-Constitutional nominees slide, either because she agrees with some of their liberal judicial activism, or because she simply doesn’t care.

For many conservative voters, the choice to cast a vote for Donald J. Trump for President in 2016 hinged on his commitment to nominating conservative, originalist judges to the federal judiciary. However, it’s the responsibility of the U.S. Senate to advise and consent to the President’s nominees. The Democrats are able to slip some of their activist judges into batches sent to the President for consideration. One such judicial nominee from the President was Michigan leftist Michael Bogren. Jr. Senator Josh Hawley from Missouri was left to defend us all against this anti-freedom activist nominee. Sen. Capito did not publicly comment on Bogren. We can assume, based on her own voting record, that she did not believe that his leftist activism should have disqualified him. Another nominee to the Louisiana-based Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, Judge Halil Suleyman Ozerden, is being opposed by conservative Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley. Capito has indicated no opposition.
